  I am always meeting new Chicago music artist when I am out doing promotion or taking clubs photos. Is is one of the reason that I started ChicagoNewMusic.com , so that Chicago can have a voice. I meet this artist at the taste last year.  He gave me cd and told me that his group was like a Roots type of group. When I got back to my ride I popped the cd in and track 4 caught my ear - I CanTell. It has been my rotation ever since. Take a listen.

  I heard this song waiting for some Chinese food on 12th (Roosevelt Road) by State street under the El. I asked the cashier what is was and he told me. I went right to the studio and downloaded it. The magic of the internet :). Take a listen

  Heard this track on Crooze.fm a French online radio station that I listen to sometimes online when I a working. It is a real smooth track kind of Down-tempo / Electronica type song. Give it a listen.

  I am a Chakaholict. Chaka Khan is timeless and her songs for me just touch the the fabrick of the African American music. When i hear her music it reminds me of when I was about 7 or 8 being a family reunion or riding with my aunt in her green Camaro on 35th and King Drive.  I have 3 of my favorite track from her below to listen to.

  Hands on your head !  I love southern rap , I spent ten years in the A (Atlanta) and my family is from Georgia and South Carolina.  I can't listen to a 18 track album of it but it get the club jumpin. The Party Boyz got it BUMPIN ! Check the track.
